The fold projects set out to create an adaptable base that could support feature timber tops. This early project has a fixed frame with details in brass and Macassar ebony.

This was created around an exceptional piece of English walnut. This timber has a soft sapwood (the layer of wood immediately below the bark) that is poorly suited for furniture. To preserve the natural lines, this was painstakingly carved away to create a complex and tactile surface that has characteristics of natural erosion.
